This will open the web player but like an app. Left at the bottom next to the song banner is this button: click this button. You get a floating mini player at the bottom right of your screen with the song banner, and when you hover over it with your mouse you can pause/play/previous/next. Good luck and have a great day! If you are playing mp3 songs on your windows media player then you don’t really need a huge screen feature, often you can minimize the media player but there is a inbuilt option to reduce unwanted screen layouts from the windows media player while you are playing only audio songs, we are talking about “Mini player mode” in windows media player. If you are not sure how to enable it then here are the steps to followMini mode in Windows media player
1. Open windows media player
2. Go to Tools and then to the options menu
3. A Player dialog box opens where you will find “Start the mini Player for file names that contain this text” box, check it and add “.mp3” in the text box.You can also add real player format, divx, mp4 format or specific drive.
4. Click apply and open any mp3 file, there you have your mini media player playing audio files in mini-mode!
Mini player mode doesn’t work with all the version of windows player (works with windows media player 11).For other version you can right click on your taskbar, go to the Toolbar option and check the windows media player which displays a small media bar in your taskbar!Related posts:
Windows Media Player has an interesting option that will let you open files in the Mini Player mode instead of the full player window. This is especially useful for opening music files where you really don’t need the full-size window.
To set this option, go to the Options page (linked off the Now Playing button) and look at the first tab, which should be “Player”.
You’ll see a textbox titled “Start the mini Player for file names that contain this text”. The default value in this field is “voiceatt.wav”, obviously designed to use the mini mode for voicemail attachments.
If you want to make all mp3 files open in the mini player, just type .mp3 into the window:Mini Player For Windows
Or if you have all your music stored on a single drive like I do, you can type the drive letter, or even the folder path to your music collection:
If you want every single file to always open in the mini player, just type a single colon : character into the field. This doesn’t work quite as well for videos, though…Turn Off Mini Player
Now when you double-click on a file in Windows Explorer, it will open in the mini player by default. On to the screenshots!

The Vista version is definitely cool with the transparency, but I almost like the XP version better.
